Introduction
The CUHK International Summer School welcomes over 600 local and international university students and immerses them into an internationalized learning and social environment. In this five-week virtual programme, participants will be able to take courses taught by professors from CUHK and prestigious overseas universities, and enjoy immersive virtual cultural and social activities to strengthen their understanding of the Hong Kong and Chinese culture, including city tours, heritage walks, cooking classes and many more.

Online application is now open. Tuition is waived for CUHK and exchange students. Other applicants can enjoy a 10% early bird discount on the tuition before 15 April.

A sneak peek of university life for secondary school students: CUHK Summer Institute (SI) 2021

Introduction

The CUHK Summer Institute (SI) is a credit-bearing summer programme designed for local and international secondary 5 students (or equivalent) to explore their study interest and to prepare for their future studies at CUHK. In this 9-day virtual programme, students will be able to take one or two credit-bearing courses taught by outstanding CUHK faculty members, and enjoy a series of enriching and enlightening activities including a undergraduate admission skills workshop, as well as various sessions and activities showcasing CUHK’s teaching and research strengths.


Upon successfully completing the course(s) and fulfilling the specified requirements, students could earn a maximum of two credits which may count towards their undergraduate studies at CUHK in the future (with the exception of some programmes).

Credit-bearing Courses
16 courses in Arts, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Sciences, and Social Science
Target Students 
Secondary school students from Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas who are applying to universities in the year 2022, i.e. Secondary 5 students of the Hong Kong system (HKDSE) or their equivalent

Application

Online application is now open. Applicants can enjoy a 20% early bird discount on the tuition before 10 May. Students with excellent academic standing may apply for a Merit Award (in the form of fee reduction) by 10 May.
