Programme details | This course is designed specifically for music instrument instructors. The curriculum focuses on teaching and sharing various instrumental teaching techniques, with theoretical foundations based on the four most commonly used music teaching methods: Orff, Suzuki, Kodaly, and Dalcroze. Participants will gain an understanding of the characteristics of each teaching method and learn how to integrate them with local music education for practical application in instrumental teaching. In addition, the course will cover various methods of teaching abstract music concepts, how to cultivate students' sense of rhythm and music, and classroom management for instrumental classes (in small groups/ large groups/ online classes settings). The course will also explore ways to assist students in overcoming learning and practice difficulties. Each participant will have the opportunity to practice the skills learned through simulated teaching. This course is open to current music instructors and individuals interested in becoming music instrument instructors.
