School of Continuing and Professional Studies – Fundamentals of Preparation for Endoscopic Procedures and Endoscope Reprocessing
| Programme details | Proper preparation for endoscopic procedures and reprocessing of endoscopes is critical to the provision of safe and high quality of patient care. This course prepares the personnel who is currently involved with the procedures of assisting nurses in setting up for endoscopic procedures and reprocessing of flexible endoscopes, and/or one who is keen to keep up to date with the current standards and guidelines by equipping them with the knowledge and skills for reprocessing of flexible endoscopes incorporating infection control, structure and function, water filtration, and occupational safety and health. This is a foundation course for providing a comprehensive understanding in the preparation for endoscopic procedures, reprocessing of endoscopes, occupational safety and health, and handling of specimen.
