CUHK LAW GBA Forum
CUHK LAW has introduced a Greater Bay Area (GBA) Forum which aims to contribute to the development of the GBA. The first seminar of the Forum, "Greater Bay Area Law and Legal Culture: A Reality Check", was delivered online by Professor Lutz-Christian WOLFF, Wei Lun Professor of Law & Dean of CUHK LAW, on 22 March 2022 with over 1,100 registrations.

The next seminar "Recent Aviation Law Issues in the GBA" will be presented by CUHK LAW Professor Jae Woon LEE on 13 April 2022.
Hong Kong's policy goal for the aviation sector is clearly defined in the Basic Law (Article 128) as being 'a centre of international and regional aviation'. In February 2019, the Central Government's Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area ("GBA") re-emphasised Hong Kong's status as an international aviation hub. In February 2022, Beijing rolled out a series of specific measures to deepen the integration of the GBA by encouraging more cross-border development in selected sectors including aviation. With the overarching goal of 'relaxing access restrictions in the aviation sector', these measures include various efforts toward operational coordination as well as regulatory changes. This seminar will introduce the new measures related to aviation and discuss upcoming aviation law issues in the GBA.
