Join Us in a Groundbreaking Journey to Explore the Universe!

The Hong Kong (International) Aerospace Charitable Foundation and the BBA Alumni Association of the Chinese University of Hong Kong proudly present the “Into the Future Series: The Frontier Research on Black Holes” with Prof. Paul Ho as the Guest Speaker.

Prof. Paul Ho is a distinguished astrophysicist whose pioneering work in radio astronomy and millimeter/submillimeter astrophysics has significantly advanced our understanding of star formation, molecular clouds, and active galactic nuclei. With a career spanning decades, he has made groundbreaking contributions to the field, particularly in high-resolution observations of cosmic phenomena.

After earning his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Prof. Ho held key positions at prestigious institutions, including the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and Academia Sinica’s Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (ASIAA) in Taiwan. His leadership at ASIAA was instrumental in developing Taiwan’s astronomical research capabilities.

As the Director of the East Asian Observatory (EAO), Prof. Ho has played a pivotal role in fostering international collaboration in astronomy, particularly through the operation of the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) in Hawaii. His efforts have strengthened East Asia’s presence in global astronomical research.

A passionate educator and mentor, Prof. Ho has inspired generations of astronomers. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including fellowships in major scientific academies.

We are honored to host Prof. Paul Ho as our guest speaker, where he will share his insights on the latest advancements in astrophysics and the future of astronomical exploration.

Join us for an enlightening talk by a true visionary in modern astronomy!
